The campground at Manchester State Park is set about one-half mile back from the beach, giving it some protection from the wind that often is blowing hard. Some of the sites nearest to Kinney Road are rather exposed, but others back among the cypress trees and have more shade. Manchester is known as a quiet campground.
The environmental campsites are 1.1 miles from the parking lot at the main campground. There is no water available there.
The best campsites at Manchester are back among the trees.
