  • Dogs must be on leash, under owners' control. Not allowed on sand.

Bolsa Chica Beach RV Campground

Nearby Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground is for self-contained RVs and trailers only. No tents are allowed. There are electrical and water hook-ups only, but there is a nearby sanitation station. The larger camping spaces are 40 feet long; all others are 30 feet long. The beach-front sites (odd-number sites) are listed as premium sites and cost $65 per night. Other sites are $50 per night. Visitors must be able to fit all their vehicles and gear into the assigned spaces. You may not reserve an extra space for your overflow vehicles or to use as an extension of your camping space.

The Huntington Beach Trail, a paved multi-use pathway, runs between the RV campground and the beach. Caution should be used when crossing the path. A paved access trail leads across the sand to the high tide mark, providing access to the beach for wheelchairs and for others to reach the water without trudging through deep sand. The fire pits on the sand are not included with the campsites and are on a daily first-come, first-served basis for all beach visitors.

Ocean Safety

California State Parks and Recreation cautions that "large surf, cold water temperatures, backwash, sudden drop-offs, pounding shorebreak, and dangerous rip currents can turn what seem like safe activities such as playing near the surf line, wading, or climbing on rock outcroppings, deadly."
